St. Leos College is a 100 year old school, with over 600 boys that is striving to be the premier science and technology secondary school for the Fort Portal area. The school has a long history of being a prestigious school in Uganda because of its history and academic performance but has fallen on hard times and is desperately in need of updating the physics laboratory, curriculum, experiments, to rejuvenate the program and inspire the next generation of scientists.

The team is busy with the construction of the lab to revitalize it and expects the construction to be completed by mid February when the students return. The lab will have computers run on a solar power system, and new experimental equipment. Our team is currently collaborating with a U of M Physics professor, Ugandan Health Ministry and Ugandan physics professors to reinvigorate the curriculum and experiments to provide students with access to modern technology providing an elite education.
