All donations made to YAWE Social Enterprise Centre, will sponsor education for students and educators, specialty workshops, skills training, scholarship programs, healthcare education and training, and other educational and healthcare opportunities to support development. Additionally,YAWE Social Enterprise Centre supports solar installation projects in communities to provide sustainable electricity and technological devices, including, but not limited to, solar refrigeration, smart phones, and computers to improve communication and connectivity, and enable healthcare technology. 

YAWE Social Enterprise Centre works with local Ugandans that have been trained to install and maintain solar systems. Our installation projects not only provide electricity to the most vulnerable and impoverished communities in Uganda, they also provide employment for local Ugandan solar technicians. 

Yes,YAWE Social Enterprise Centre does accept some donations in kind such as computers, smart phones, centrifuges, and other technological devices. However, whenever possible clothing, solar equipment and other items that can be readily purchased in Uganda are purchased in Uganda.  Please contact us if you have an item that you are considering donating!

Yes,YAWE Social Enterprise Centre does have direct educational support programs. We make the arrangements with the Ugandan schools and pay the school fees for a child that needs educational support. Letters and educational updates on the progress and impact your donation is having on that child are part of this program. You can even send a letter to the child you are sponsoring to have communication with them.

Our partners in Uganda are very important to us by educating us on which communities we will have the greatest impact, enabling our efforts to lead to sustainable solutions in those communities. In Uganda, our projects are installed and maintained by Ugandans providing skills training and then employment for the local people. We have already had a full circle impact of educating impoverished youth that are now finically self-sustaining, and continue to work with us on furthering our mission.

We are not a religious organization and are not connected with any religious or political group. YAWE Social Enterprise Centre is focused on improving standard life of all people in impoverished communities through education, healthcare, and socio-economic development.
